One-of-a-Kind Vintage AB Crystal Statement Necklace

A beautiful example of what can happen when vintage pieces that can no longer be restored are given an entirely new life.

The centerpiece of this necklace began as a stunning vintage brooch that was unfortunately broken in several places and beyond traditional repair. I carefully deconstructed the brooch, preserving its beautiful central element, and soldered it into an authentic vintage Miriam Haskell filigree setting to create an entirely new focal piece.

For the necklace itself, I deconstructed a vintage Art Deco necklace and a pair of vintage aurora borealis crystal earrings, combining their components to create the sparkling chain. The faceted AB crystals catch the light beautifully, flashing an array of colors as the necklace moves.

The finished piece brings together elements from several pieces of vintage jewelry that may otherwise have been lost, transforming them into a completely new, wearable design while preserving their history and character.
