Vintage Czech Glass Cameo Button & Hand-Beaded Statement Necklace

A vintage treasure transformed into an entirely one-of-a-kind piece.

At the heart of this necklace is a beautiful vintage glass cameo button, originally designed to be part of a button chain. I removed the original chain and completely reimagined the piece, hand-soldering eye pins to the back to create custom attachment points for the beaded necklace.

From there, every bead was individually selected, hand-positioned, and attached to create the intricate double-strand design. The combination of soft blush pink, warm amber, golden, and champagne-toned beads gives this necklace a wonderfully romantic vintage palette, while the cameo centerpiece adds an unmistakably old-world feel.

And she isn’t meant to be perfectly symmetrical. The necklace is designed to be worn slightly off-kilter, allowing the cameo pendant to sit at an angle across the neckline. That asymmetry is part of what makes the piece so special.

This was a true labor of love—an antique-inspired piece created slowly and intentionally, with countless tiny components coming together to make something completely new.
