Vintage Damascene Feather Brooch – Gold, Silver & Black

A striking vintage damascene-style feather brooch with an incredibly ornate layered design. The sweeping feather or plume is formed from overlapping sections decorated with intricate black scrollwork, warm gold tone, and contrasting silver-tone accents.
This one has fantastic dimension—the individual feather sections overlap one another, creating a sculptural, almost cascading effect. Fine engraved lines along the silver-tone feathers and borders add even more texture, while the blackened recesses make all of the detailed metalwork stand out beautifully.
The reverse is finished in gold tone with a traditional pin-back closure. No maker’s mark is visible.
