Vintage Spanish Damascene Cat Brooch with Bow

An absolutely charming vintage Spanish damascene cat brooch featuring an ornate seated kitty complete with a dimensional bow tied around its neck.
The cat is richly decorated from head to tail with intricate scrolling and floral-inspired patterns in contrasting gold, silver and black tones. Even the face is beautifully detailed, with large almond-shaped eyes, etched whiskers and tiny decorative flourishes across the forehead. A sculptural bow at the neck adds an especially sweet finishing touch.
The dimensional construction really makes this one stand out—the curved body, raised head, little paws and long curled tail give the cat plenty of personality rather than the flatter silhouette commonly seen in figural brooches.
